Where We're Giving Back This Year (And Why)
All of us at Benson Executive Search appreciate the opportunity to partner with our clients and candidates, both of whom have persevered through the year's many challenges. On behalf of these important relationships, we’re taking the opportunity this holiday season to support three organizations: Feeding America, the National Alliance of Mental Health and Jaylen Brown’s 7uice Foundation. Below we’ve highlighted the important work being done by each of these groups, and outlined why we chose these specific organizations.
Feeding America
Organizational Background
The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working with over 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries to connect people with food and to end hunger. The program provides support for children, seniors, and all communities in between, and each year provides over 4.3 billion meals, helping an average of 1 in 7 Americans.
Why We Support Feeding America
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, approximately 50 million Americans have faced food insecurity in 2020, including more than 17 million children. Given COVID-19’s impact on such a fundamental and vital part of daily life, we thought that now, more than ever, it’s important to support this cause and foster awareness of this acute concern. Additionally, 98% of all cash and non-cash donations go directly into programs supporting those in need.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
Organizational Background
NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Made up of over 600 local affiliates, for over 40 years NAMI has been working in both local communities and at a national level to raise awareness and provide previously unavailable support and education to those in need. The organization offers support programs for individuals and their families, as well as direct assistance for frontline pandemic workers impacted by COVID-19.
Why We Support NAMI?
Perhaps no issue has become more visible this year than mental health. While the tide is slowly turning on this problem and more organizations are offering support with mental health, there is still much more work to be done. They also have a donation matching program, doubling all gifts of up to $100,000 during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jaylen Brown’s “The 7uice Foundation”
Organizational Background
Founded by 24-year old Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown, The 7uice Foundation is dedicated to positively affecting the lives of “at risk” children and young adults through educational, athletic and social programs. The organization also provides grants to local institutions and is active in the fight against social injustice and inequality.
Why We Support The 7uice Foundation?
As a Boston-based company, we’re Celtics fans! We’ve always admired Jaylen for his supernatural abilities on the court, but as soon as we learned he is taking an active role to make a difference in his (and our) local communities, we knew we wanted to be a part of his efforts.
