What CEOs are looking for in CHROs in 2024
Recently our president Alice Benson spoke to members of the Human Resources Leadership Forum about her perspectives on what CEOs are looking for from Chief Human Resource Officers (CHROs) and Chief People Officers (CPOs) in 2024.
With decades of experience in the field, Alice shared a brief history of the HR function, and then explored current workforce dynamics in an ever-evolving workplace. Changes are fast, the competition for talent is real these days, and Alice shared why change management leadership, proactivity, and continual learning are key traits that CHROs must have.
She shared how CEOs view human capital as their number one priority, and how good HR leadership is that which drives business goals in its choices. Alignment with the C-suite on big-picture goals will engender HR leadership as a trusted advisor, coach, and colleague.
She shared all of the skills that CHROs should bring to the table with them, from business acumen to a range of soft skills, and ideal previous experience.
